IMPORTANT:

This is a trip out of the northwest corner of Algonquin Park - Access#1: Kawawaymog Lake(Round Lake).

Meeting time is 10:00am EST (Departure is approx. 11:00am EST) on Friday July 12th, 2019 at the permit office located Chemical Road on the shore of Kawawaymog Lake.


The trip ends on Friday July 19th, 2019 at approx. 2:00pm EST at Access#1: Kawawaymog Lake(Round Lake).

Activities include:

Canoeing, portaging, canoeing, portaging, canoeing and even more portaging, all for hours on end each and every day. We will take you deep into Algonquin Park. It may even possible you will not see anyone else for days on end. You might end up seeing more moose then people. How’s that for getting away from it all?

Living without hydro, flush-action toilets, the internet. Yes, imagine that, it can be done and if you like the outdoors to begin with, you’ll probably find it a relief! The days will be spent tripping with hearty meals at the end of the day to replenish your tired but happy soul.
What is included in the package:

Equipment (Use of): Lightweight canoe, paddles, pfd (Life jacket), marine safety kit, lightweight tent, sleeping bag & pad, headlamp, saws, canoe pack & food barrel (one pack and barrel per canoe). Drinking & eating utensils are also included. Fishing rod and tackle will be available upon request. (A fishing license is required).

Food: A total of 7 Dinners and 7 Breakfasts are included as well as light lunches and snacks on the trail during day-trips. Your meals are cooked by our guides over a campfire ensuring you get the full backcountry experience. One glass of wine is provided per person for each of the seven dinners.

Our meals consist of steaks, chicken and fish served with fresh vegetables and rice. Dehydrated meals will be served as well. Usually after Day 3 of the trip. There’s dessert too!


Guided Fun: Our guides offer 20 years of experience in the interior of Algonquin Park. Among the activities You can participate in; Star gazing, wildlife observation, making bannock bread and fishing. Learn how to identify various species of tree & plant life. Discover the habitats of some of The Park’s wildlife and the roles they can play in Algonquin Park’s ecosystem. We’ll show you just how much fun being outdoors & unconnected from the outside world can be.

Permits: Your camping permit is included in the cost of your trip.

Additional Info: Once your trip is booked you will be emailed a PDF containing additional information on your upcoming trip - All that you may or may not need to bring with you for a fun and memorable trip!
What is NOT included in the package:

Hotel Accommodation: It is recommended that our international guests make their own arrangements if they need a hotel room the day before and/or day after the trip.

Fishing Permit: A fishing permit is not included.

For non-residents of Canada, a fishing license can be obtained beforehand online via the Ontario government web site. Click here to read the requirements of a fishing license and following the links provided to purchase a license online.

If you need assistance, we can purchase and obtain a fishing permit for you at extra cost. Please provide reasonable time before the trip for us to secure your permit.

Cellphone service: There is no cellphone service in the interior of Algonquin Park. Connection might be possible, briefly, near access lakes. Once deeper inside The Park though, we will be utterly alone. Hope you can handle the disconnection withdrawals!
